Eddie's was a suggested breakfast spot while I waited for my Dad to recover from surgery at near by Kaiser. Once I walked in, I was immediately greeted warmly by staff who sat me right away at the bar. It truly felt like I traveled back in time to an old school San Franciscan diner. The crowd was cheerful and the food was absolutely delicious. My compliments to the cook who grilled my eggs just the way I ordered them and the bacon that was cooked to perfection. The belgian waffle was golden brown, slightly crispy sprinkled w powdered sugar, which was perfect. Thank you Eddie's for the wonderful experience which put me in a good mood.

Called in here after visiting the Painted Ladies in Alamo square and had a great experience. The staff are friendly, chatty and welcoming while the food is top notch. Good to be in a local one-off place rather than a chain establishment. Would recommend if you are nearby.

Great biscuits! Next time I'll ask if I can add more than what comes with breakfast. The denver omelette was spot on. Bacon was chewy and not too salty. Pancakes were a bit gummy flavor was good. Tea was served in random mugs, charming but too big for the single tea bag offered. Staff was friendly and attentive, you could hear all the regulars and continuations of conversations. Great spot, worth checking out, but for me not worth hopping across city. Will be back when I'm in the area for something else.

I am suddenly missing it over here in Houston, TX. I went to visit Eddie's Café as a breakfast place that my cousin invited me to and I miss it so much. The omelets were so good, but what made me fall in love in this place was the service as well as the coffee being serve without asking. If I return back to San Francisco this will be my number one priority spot to get breakfast. The only thing is the space is small and it does get pack (or it might be because I'm from Texas where everything is bigger lol).

Popular spot with decent breakfast food. Wouldn't say the food was outstanding, but the place has good vibes. Wasn't a big fan of the sausage patties but they were ok. Eggs were standard, but the pancakes were great and I was quite full afterward. The diner is decorated with lots of SF Giants bobbleheads. 멋있어요!

Eddie’s Cafe is hands down the best breakfast diner in San Francisco. Family-owned and full of charm, it’s got that perfect mix of friendly vibes and delicious food. Whether you’re with family, on a casual date, or in need of a solid hangover cure, this place hits the spot. They serve all the classic breakfast and lunch favorites, and everything is made just right. I lived in SF for years and was a regular-on my first trip back, Eddie’s was a must-visit, and it did not disappoint!

First ate here in 2013 and have talked about it ever since. Their bacon is a favorite, and everything else we've had was wonderful. Wonderful family.

Stopped for breakfast yesterday while visiting my daughter in Hayes Valley. I was greeted with a warm smile and had engaging conversation with Ami while I enjoyed my breakfast at the counter. Delicious chicken apple sausage, eggs and hash brown. Great spot!
